Description
Flood Watch issued March 8 at 1:03PM EST until March 10 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of New Jersey, including the following areas,
Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris,
Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Somerset, Southeastern Burlington
and Western Monmouth and southeast Pennsylvania, including the
following areas, Delaware, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks and
Philadelphia.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams are running high and may rise out of their
banks and could flood with more heavy rain. Flooding may also
occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A low pressure system will bring rain, heavy at times,
Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. Another 1 to 2
inches of rainfall is forecast within the Flood Watch area in
addition to the multiple rounds of rainfall we've already had
over the past week. This is likely to bring several river
gauges into flood stage across the Passaic, Raritan, and
Rancocas basins by Sunday. Urban flooding will also be a
threat around the Philadelphia metro area as the heaviest
rain moves through late day Saturday into Saturday night.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
