Special Weather Statement issued March 5 at 10:27PM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
At 1027 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cross Creek, or near Citra, moving north at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Hawthorne, Cross Creek, Orange Heights, Rochelle, Waldo, McIntosh,
Lochloosa, and Grove Park.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
