Description
Please be advised, Erie Water Works is completing repair work on an emergency leak under Station Road. Currently, Station Road is closed right at the intersection of Station Rd. and Shannon Road. Currently, you are unable to enter the Borough from the east via Station Rd. Shannon/Station North to South traffic remains unaffected.
When the leak is identified, to complete the repairs, EWW will have to interrupt service to about a dozen service addresses. It is unknown right now exactly what addresses this will impact, however, they know that the affected area will be located between the 2500 and the 3000 block of Station Road. If you are a resident in this area, we recommend that you be prepared for a disruption of water service this evening.
Once the exact addresses are identified, the EWW crew should go door to door and inform residents that will be impacted.
They estimate that work will conclude before 9pm tonight.
We apologize for the inconvenience that might have been caused because we were unable to get this notification out sooner. Erie Water Works failed to inform us prior to beginning this work, and we were only informed thanks to a resident who called the Borough Office and let us know.
