A number of Township residents have experienced their vehicles being broken into. The South Park Township Police Department would like to remind everyone to keep these important safety tips in mind to reduce the chance of becoming a victim of a vehicle break-in.
• Remember to lock all doors and trunks, no matter where you park the vehicle.
• Park in a well-lit area.
• If you park the vehicle in a garage, remember to close the garage door.
• PLEASE remove any money, valuables, and firearms/weapons from the vehicle, when the vehicle is not in use.
• If you carry, and you're heading to a business or location that does not permit firearms/weapons, plan ahead to secure any firearms/weapons before you get out of the vehicle.
