Special Weather Statement issued February 24 at 9:09AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
Light to locally moderate snow will continue this morning, with
snow tapering off gradually from north to south as drier air works
in from the north and west. Additional accumulation of 0.5 to
locally up to 1 inch of snow can be expected, especially south of
I-70. Slick spots on roads and highways can be expected,
with bridges and overpasses especially vulnerable. Reduced
visibility may also be encountered, perhaps to under one mile at
times.
Please use extra caution if traveling this morning and allow for
some extra time to reach your destination. If you encounter steady
snow that reduces visibility, slow down and increase the distance
between your vehicle and those that surround you.
