Snow Squall Warning issued February 17 at 2:26PM EST until February 17 at 3:00PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Northeastern Berks County in eastern Pennsylvania...
Lehigh County in eastern Pennsylvania...
Northwestern Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
West central Bucks County in southeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 300 PM EST.

* At 223 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located near
Claussville, or 13 miles west of Allentown, moving southeast at 55
mph.

HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow and
gusty winds leading to blowing snow and rapidly falling
visibility. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

This includes the following highways...
Northeast Extension between mile markers 37 and 60.
Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 23 and 60.

Locations impacted include...
Allentown, Pottstown, Emmaus, Quakertown, Kutztown, Hamburg,
Fleetwood, Laureldale, East Greenville, Topton, Leesport,
Shoemakersville, Bally, Bechtelsville, Green Lane, Lyons,
Lenhartsville, New Tripoli, Zionsville, and Ancient Oaks.

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads,
bridges, and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and
be prepared for a sudden loss of traction.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
