Special Weather Statement issued February 17 at 10:45AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1044 AM EST, scattered snow showers were located across the
entire statement area, moving east at 25 mph.
Locations impacted include...
New Castle, Hermitage, Sharon, Indiana, Butler, Oil City, Grove City,
Franklin, Punxsutawney, Clarion, Sharpsville, Kittanning, Brookville,
Marienville, Homer City, Knox, Rimersburg, Homeacre-Lyndora,
Greenville, and Sugarcreek.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 89 and 138.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 96.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 21.
Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel
conditions.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
