Special Weather Statement issued February 17 at 9:05AM EST by NWS State College PA
Locally heavy snow showers and squalls will move very quickly
from northwest to southeast across parts of central Pennsylvania
this morning into the afternoon. The primary impacts will include
sharp reductions in visibility with the potential for brief
whiteouts and rapid changes in road conditions due to a quick snow
accumulation. Motorists should be prepared for locally hazardous
driving conditions and slick roads that could lead to accidents.
