Join us to celebrate Owen's 7th Birthday and recognize the importance of blood and blood product donation!
In August 2017, at just 6 months old, Owen faced a challenging journey when he was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. His battle against this rare disease led him to undergo chemotherapy, a treatment aimed at combating the illness. However, Owen's resilient body posed a unique challenge, rejecting the chemotherapy. In the face of this adversity, he bravely endured 32 blood transfusions, 15 platelet transfusions, and 7 intravenous immunoglobulin (iVIG) transfusions by the time he reached 18 months old.
