Winter Storm Warning issued February 11 at 2:51PM EST until February 13 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 11
inches with up to 12 inches in the eastern Catskills. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...The Litchfield Hills in northwestern Connecticut,
southern Berkshire County in western Massachusetts, and the mid-
Hudson Valley, the eastern Catskills, and the central and
southern Taconics in eastern New York.
* WHEN...From 1 AM to 7 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and
evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 1 to 2 inches will
likely occur late Monday night into Tuesday morning. There
remains uncertainty on the exact placement of the heaviest
snowfall rates.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
