Flood Warning issued January 25 at 4:38AM CST until January 25 at 9:00AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bastrop, Caldwell, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Karnes,
Lavaca, Lee and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM CST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated
with water and may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 438 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 7 and 11 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected. Runoff from earlier rainfall will continue to pose
a flooding threat through mid to late morning Thursday.

Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Luling, Giddings, La Grange,
Smithville, Kenedy, Karnes City, Schulenburg, Hallettsville,
Yorktown, Shiner, Flatonia, Moulton, Kosciusko, Nixon,
Waelder, Runge and Falls City.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
