Flood Warning issued January 24 at 9:39PM CST until January 25 at 1:00AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bastrop, Caldwell, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Karnes,
Lavaca, Lee and Wilson.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated
with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 938 PM CST, Numerous roadways continue to be flooded from
previous day's rainfall. Additional rain is moving into the
warning area and should produce up to an inch of rainfall for
most locations. This will allow for flooding conditions to
continue through the night.
- Isolated amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned
area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Luling, Giddings, La Grange,
Smithville, Kenedy, Karnes City, Schulenburg, Hallettsville,
Yorktown, Shiner, Flatonia, Moulton, Kosciusko, Nixon,
Waelder, Runge and Falls City.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
