Flood Advisory issued January 23 at 10:22PM CST until January 24 at 2:00AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, DeWitt, Gonzales, Karnes and Wilson.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1022 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kenedy, Karnes City, Kosciusko, Nixon, Runge, Falls City,
Smiley, Gillett, Pandora, Cestohowa, Westhoff, Palmeto State
Park, Ecleto, New Davy, Gruenau, Paweleville, Helena, Sample,
Leesville and Pana Maria.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
