Flood Advisory issued January 22 at 7:54AM CST until January 22 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, DeWitt, Gonzales, Karnes and Lavaca.
* WHEN...Until noon CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 753 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Kenedy, Karnes City, Hallettsville,
Yorktown, Shiner, Moulton, Runge, Falls City, Smiley,
Nordheim, Cheapside, Westhoff, Hochheim, Thomaston, Gillett,
Ezzell and Cestohowa.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
