Freeze Warning issued January 20 at 1:59AM EST until January 20 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as
low as 30 expected. For the Hard Freeze Warning, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 26 expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and
southeast Georgia.
* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, until 10 AM EST this morning.
For the Hard Freeze Warning, from 1 AM to 9 AM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
