Description
Special Weather Statement issued January 19 at 12:24PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
As of 1220 PM, doppler radar and surface observations show an
area of moderate to occasionally heavy snow continuing to move
across the area. Spotter reports indicate that snowfall rates are
as high as 0.5 to 1 inches per hour. This will significantly
reduce the visibility to one half of a mile to occasionally as low
as one quarter of a mile. The consistency of the snow will be
wetter much closer to the coast as temperatures there are right
around freezing.
If traveling, be prepared for significantly reduced visibility
and slippery conditions. Roadways can become quickly snow covered
when untreated, and use extra caution on bridges and overpasses.
