Vehicle Flees the Scene After Striking Young Male

PSP York - On January 18, 2024 at approximately 7:01 PM, Pennsylvania State Police, Troop J, York Station was notified of a pedestrian struck on the 2200 block of Bridgeview Road, Hopewell Township, York County. Upon arrival of first responders, they found a 19-year-old male with a fractured skull. EMS rushed the male to York
Hospital for evaluation of his injury. Initial investigation revealed the male was traveling east on Bridgeview Road while riding a scooter when a vehicle came up from behind and collided with him. The male was thrown from the scooter and landed near the guard rail. The vehicle fled the scene east on Bridgeview Road. Troop J Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit and Troop J Forensic Services Unit responded to scene to assist
York Patrol Unit with this investigation. At this time, the State Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle that fled the scene. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact PSP York Station at 717-428-1011.
