Description
PLEASE SEE BELOW IN CASE YOU EXPERIENCED A MISSED PICK UP
Due to the worsening winter conditions and the Penn DOT - Empty Commercial Vehicle Bans on Interstates, WM of Camp Hill has pulled all trucks off the road.
In addition to poor road conditions, the Camp Hill Transfer Station, Cumberland County Landfill and Penn Waste Recycling Material Recovery facility have closed for the day and will possibly remain closed through Saturday. This leaves us with no place to dump trash or recycling. For Dauphin County, the Harrisburg Incinerator is limiting the amount of waste they are accepting.
We do plan on running tomorrow, however that will depend on availability of the disposal sites.
Until we know the status of the disposal facilities, we are unable to announce to you how we will recover the delayed services.
No firm decision has been made, however a possible recovery plan will be to take double the allowable set out next week.
Thank you for your understanding and patience and please understand that WM’s top priority to have our employees return home safely every day.
