Winter Weather Advisory issued January 16 at 11:32AM EST until January 16 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, lake effect snow
occurring. Total snowfall of 3 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as
high as 30 mph. For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind
chills expected. Wind chills as low as 20 below zero.
* WHERE...Erie County.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 PM EST this
evening. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 10 PM this evening
to noon EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and poor visibility.
The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in
as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A very tight snowfall gradient is expected
across northern Erie County mainly near and north of I-90. The
greatest snow accumulations are expected north of a line from
Harborcreek to Findley Lake, including the town of North East.
The heaviest snow is expected through early afternoon.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
