Dense Fog Advisory issued January 16 at 1:46AM EST until January 16 at 8:00AM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility one quarter mile
or less in dense fog. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 28 expected.
* WHERE...Bradford, Inland St. Johns, Gilchrist, Eastern Clay,
Eastern Alachua, Western Clay, Western Alachua, Western
Putnam, Central Marion and Western Marion Counties.
* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 8 AM EST this
morning. For the Freeze Warning, from 3 AM to 9 AM EST
Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and
other sensitive vegetation. Hazardous driving conditions due
to low visibility.
Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender vegetation
and outdoor pets have adequate protection from the cold
temperatures. Young children, the elderly and the homeless are
especially vulnerable to the cold. Take measures to protect them.
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
