Wind Chill Advisory issued January 15 at 1:08AM CST until January 17 at 10:00AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, significant icing.
Additional ice accumulations of a light glaze up to 1/10 inch.
Little or no sleet or snow accumulation expected. For the Wind
Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills in the single digits to as
low as zero degrees expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central Texas.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until noon CST today. For
the Wind Chill Advisory, until 10 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are
possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or
evening commute. The cold wind chills could result in
hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power
outages.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
