Winter Weather Advisory issued January 14 at 12:32PM CST until January 15 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills
expected. Periods of wind chill values between zero and ten
degrees. For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation
expected. Total ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch.
Little to no sleet accumulation expected.
* WHERE...Much of south central Texas.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until noon CST Monday.
For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 10 AM
CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, especially bridges
and overpasses. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the
morning commute. Bitterly cold wind chills creating dangerous
conditions on exposed skin.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lowest wind chills are expected Tuesday
morning. Portions of the Hill Country may see the wind chills
dip below zero degrees, and may need the issuance of a Wind
Chill Warning.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
