The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Cameron County in north central Pennsylvania...
Elk County in north central Pennsylvania...
Eastern McKean County in north central Pennsylvania...
Western Potter County in north central Pennsylvania...

* Until 845 AM EST.

* At 749 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Shinglehouse to Coryville to Wilcox to 10 miles
south of Marienville, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than
one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

This includes the following highways...
Route 6 from Mount Jewett to east of Coudersport.
Route 219 from Brandy Camp to north of Wilcox.
State Road 46 from Smethport to Farmers Valley.
State Road 59 from west of Smethport to Smethport.
State Road 120 from Ridgway to north of Driftwood.
State Road 255 from south of St. Marys to Johnsonburg.
State Road 446 from Farmers Valley to Larabee.

Locations impacted include...
St. Marys, Ridgway, Johnsonburg, Cameron, Wharton, Coudersport, Port
Allegany, Emporium, Smethport, Roulette, Shinglehouse, and Genesee.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.
