Description
Special Weather Statement issued January 14 at 4:33AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 431 AM EST, snow showers were located along a line extending from
near New Wilmington to 8 miles west of McDonald. Movement was
northeast at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph, reduced visibilities, and a quick coating
of snow on roads will be possible with these snow showers.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon Township, New
Castle, Weirton, Steubenville, Hermitage, Sharon, Indiana, Butler,
Franklin Park, Salem, East Liverpool, and Oil City.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 1 and 57.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 51 and 138.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 96.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 84.

Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel
conditions.

Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this intense
snow shower. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the
squall passes your location.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
