Coastal Flood Warning issued January 8 at 4:33PM EST until January 10 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...One to three feet of inundation above ground level
expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
* WHERE...Kent MD, Queen Annes, Talbot and Caroline.
* WHEN...From 3 PM Tuesday to 7 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs in
bayside communities and along tidal waterways. Some roads
become impassable. Minor damage to vulnerable structures may
begin to occur.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor tidal flooding is expected Tuesday
with the afternoon high tide cycle with water levels expected to
continue rising into Tuesday night due to very strong southerly
winds. Water levels may stay elevated into Wednesday, and an
advisory for continued minor flooding may be necessary.
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.
