Special Weather Statement issued January 8 at 2:29PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 229 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of La Grange to near Falls City.
Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, La Grange, Smithville, Kenedy, Karnes City,
Schulenburg, Hallettsville, Yorktown, Shiner, Flatonia, Moulton,
Kosciusko, Campbellton, Shelby, Nixon, Waelder, Runge, and Falls
City.
