Flood Watch issued January 7 at 3:17AM HST until January 9 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...All the main Hawaiian islands.

* WHEN...From this evening through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Deep tropical moisture being drawn northward ahead of an
approaching cold front and an upper disturbance will lead to
an increasing threat of heavy rainfall this evening through
Tuesday. Strengthening southerly winds, periods of heavy
rainfall that could lead to flash flooding, and thunderstorms
will accompany this front as it moves through.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
