Winter Weather Advisory issued January 6 at 11:56AM EST until January 6 at 7:00PM EST by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
1 and 3 inches south of Route 30 and 3 to 5 inches north of
Route 30. A light glaze of of ice is also possible. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph. Snow totals could reach around 7
inches across Northern York County.
* WHERE...York and Lancaster Counties.
* WHEN...Through 7 PM EST this Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, especially in the
afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow could fall heavily at times at the
rate of over 1 inch per hour between 2 and 7 pm, mainly north
of York and Lancaster.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on
driving conditions as winter weather impacts Pennsylvania
roadways.
