Winter Storm Warning issued January 5 at 3:54PM EST until January 7 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10
inches. Higher amounts of around 12 inches are possible in the
eastern Catskills. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, western
Massachusetts and mid Hudson Valley and eastern Catskills.
* WHEN...From 4 PM Saturday to 7 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates may be close to one inch per
hour at times for Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
