Special Weather Statement issued January 5 at 6:20AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
Areas of fog have developed early this morning. Visibilities of
less than one mile have been reported across the Rio Grande,
Edwards Plateau, and Hill Country. Occasional visibilities at and
below a quarter of a mile have been reported as well. Fog will
persist through and past sunrise, with gradual improvements
expected by mid morning. Be prepared to encounter sudden changes
in visibility on the roads this morning. Use low beam headlights,
and allow for extra following distance between you and the
vehicles in front of you if driving in pockets of fog.
