Special Weather Statement issued December 26 at 6:31PM EST by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
At 631 PM EST, satellite imagery and surface observations indicate
fog is reducing visibilities to 1/2 mile or less at times.
Locations impacted include...
Tampa, Cape Coral, Spring Hill, Clearwater, Largo, North Port,
Sarasota, Bradenton, Pinellas Park, Bonita Springs, Temple Terrace,
Seminole, Punta Gorda, New Port Richey, Palmetto, Downtown Saint
Petersburg, Hudson, Port Charlotte, Fort Desoto Park, and Holiday.
Motorists should be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Use
low beam headlights, reduce your speed, and maintain a safe distance
between your vehicle and the one ahead of you.
