Flood Warning issued December 18 at 4:41AM EST until December 18 at 8:45AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Pennsylvania,
including the following counties, in east central Pennsylvania...
Berks. In southeast Pennsylvania...Chester and Montgomery.
* WHEN...Until 845 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 441 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Reading, Pottstown, Birdsboro, Bally, Bechtelsville,
Cedarville, Gilbertsville, Stowe, Boyertown, Mount Penn, St.
Lawrence, and Amity Gardens.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
