Wind Advisory issued December 17 at 8:00AM EST until December 17 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
* WHAT...Generally north winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35
mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and
southeast Georgia.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High resolution models continue to depict a
window of peak wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph between 10 am and 3 pm
immediately behind the departing and deepening low pressure area
as it pushes off the coast. This is certainly possible with big
pressure falls anticipated across the region during peak day
time heating and mixing.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
