Description
Flood Warning issued December 17 at 5:09AM EST until December 17 at 8:00AM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida, including the
following counties, in northeast Florida, Baker, Clay, Duval,
Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns. In northern Florida, Alachua,
Bradford, Marion and Union.
* WHEN...Until 800 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 507 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rainfall across the warning area has been in
the range of 3 to 5 inches, with a few locations getting 6
inches. Heavy rain is gradually decreasing from S to N across
the warning areas, but areas around Jacksonville could get
another inch of rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the warned area. The flooding will be
worst in areas with poor drainage.

Jacksonville, Gainesville, Palm Coast, Ocala, Saint
Augustine, Palatka, Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, Starke,
Rainbow Lakes Estates, Flagler Beach, Bunnell, Crescent City,
Interlachen, Keystone Heights, Pomona Park, Hastings,
Melrose, East Palatka and Fort McCoy.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
