Flood Watch issued December 16 at 1:44PM EST until December 17 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Florida, including the following areas, Baker,
Bradford, Central Marion, Coastal Duval, Coastal Flagler, Coastal
Nassau, Coastal St. Johns, Eastern Alachua, Eastern Clay, Eastern
Marion, Eastern Putnam, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Inland Flagler,
Inland Nassau, Inland St. Johns, Northern Columbia, South Central
Duval, Southern Columbia, Suwannee, Trout River, Union, Western
Alachua, Western Clay, Western Duval, Western Marion and Western
Putnam and southeast Georgia, including the following areas,
Atkinson, Clinch, Coastal Camden, Coastal Glynn, Echols, Inland
Camden, Inland Glynn, Northeastern Charlton, Southern Ware and
Western Charlton.
* WHEN...From 7 PM EST this evening through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A Gulf Low will bring widespread 3 to 5 inches with locally
higher amounts possible. Combined with the threat of coastal
flooding along the Atlantic coast, ICWW and St Johns river
basin, flood waters may be difficult to recede near times of
high tide.
