Description
On December 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., at the Wesleyville Borough Hall, 3421 Buffalo Road, Erie, Pennsylvania 16510, Wesleyville Borough Council will consider enactment of the following:
1. Acceptance of the 2024 General Fund budget that was presented at the November 29th Public Budget Meeting. This budget calls for a tax increase.
2. A Tax Ordinance for 2024. If approved, the Ordinance would increase real estate taxes from 9.971 to 12.971 mills for the calendar year 2024. This is an increase of 3 mills.
This budget compensates for lost and/or decreasing revenues in several categories with a tax increase. Additionally, a Full-Time Police Officer Position is included and additional funding for street resurfacing projects.
The meeting is open to the public. A complete copy of the General Fund 2024 Budget and the Ordinance may be reviewed Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between the hours of 9am-4pm at the Borough Hall, 3421 Buffalo Road, Erie, Pennsylvania 16510.
