Special Weather Statement issued December 11 at 6:45AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 642 AM EST, snow showers were located over Ben Avon, or over Ross
Township, moving southeast at 25 mph.
An area of enhanced snowfall may lead to a breif coating for the
morning commute. Gusty winds and moderate snowfall rates may lead to
temporary visibility reductions.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, McKeesport, Franklin Park, Shaler Township, Plum, West
Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Murrysville, Hampton
Township, Wilkinsburg, Whitehall, Robinson Township, Munhall,
Jefferson Hills, and North Versailles.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 52 and 58.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 62 and 74.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 67 and 84.
