The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a
* Special Marine Warning for...
Coastal waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20
NM...
Waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20 to 60 NM...
* Until 230 PM EST.
* At 1252 PM EST, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
waterspouts were located along a line extending from 31 nm
northwest of Suwannee River to 18 nm south of Buckeye Reef to 40 nm
south of S Tower to 88 nm south of V Tower, moving east at 20
knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage
vessels, and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all
on board are in a secure location and wearing life
jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots,
suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy
downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life
jackets.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM EST for northern
Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.
