Description
Yankeetown has been blessed to have generous residents willing to answer the call to volunteer on committees and board to better the Town.
The Town currently has multiple open positions that the Town Council will be addressing Next Monday at our Council meeting. If you are interested or willing to volunteer on one of our boards, please come by the Town hall and get an application.
Current open seats:
2 Seats on the Board of Trustees for the WGP. If you are not aware the Town own a 413 acre preserve at 1001 Old rock Rd. This beautiful property holds the spirit of the nature coast. The Board of Trustees are the daily managers of the property.
2 Seats on the Historic Planning Board. The Town is putting together a Historic preservation board that will create the criteria for homes to be historical. They will review applications to verify properties meet criteria to be historical. This board is under the Sunshine Law so all meetings will be open to the public and will need to be advertised by the town.
