Flash Flood Warning issued November 30 at 11:27AM HST until November 30 at 12:30PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI

At 1127 AM HST, radar indicated that although there were some
isolated areas with rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, the
rainfall intensities overall have been trending downward over the
past hour. The Maui Emergency Management Agency reported that the
Hana Highway has been closed at multiple locations east of Huelo.
Piilani Highway also remained closed at mile marker 16 and mile
markers 29 to 31.

HAZARD...Heavy rain producing life threatening flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Significant and life threatening flooding in drainages,
streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low lying
areas. Multiple public road closures expected, as well
as landslides in steep terrain.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Kipahulu, Kaupo, Nahiku, Keanae, Hana, Haleakala National Park,
Wailua and Hamoa.

Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even
if they are currently dry.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

The heavy rains may cause rock and mudslides in steep terrain areas.
