Freeze Warning issued November 1 at 2:18AM EDT until November 2 at 10:00AM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 10 AM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Widespread sub-freezing temperatures will
likely bring and end to the growing season.
Take protective measures now as freezing temperatures could
damage or kill tender plants and vegetation. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
