Flood Watch issued October 27 at 2:57PM CDT until October 28 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including
the following counties, in north central Texas, Bosque, Collin,
Comanche, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Hamilton,
Hill, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas, McLennan, Mills,
Navarro, Rockwall, Somervell and Tarrant. In northeast Texas,
Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt.
* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may also become flooded. Flood waters are
difficult to see at night, so remember to turn around, don't drown
if encountering flooded roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches. Isolated higher amounts up
to 6 inches are possible, mainly south of I-20. Areas that
received heavy rain earlier this week will also be more at-
risk of flooding.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
