Description
City Council has extended the deadline for those wishing to express their desire to serve on the BEEDC until noon on 10/20/2023!

A ballot proposition will go before the voters this November, that if passed, would institute a 0.0025% sales tax for economic development purposes. The Board of Directors, appointed and serving at the pleasure of City Council, will work in tandem with their priorities to establish a program of projects that will ultimately utilize these funds for the betterment of our community.

Directors need not be citizens of the City of Bruceville-Eddy but must generally reside within 10 miles of the corporate limits of the city. Meetings of the Board will initially be set at once per quarter.

Council has also requested volunteers to serve on a temporary street repair committee that will meet a handful of times over the next couple of months. The purpose of this committee is to provide research and recommendations to City Council on the current condition of our streets and assist with selecting a slate of streets for overhaul this upcoming year!

If you are interested or if you have any questions, please contact City Administrator Kent Manton at 254-859-5700 x100 or kmanton@bruceville-eddy.us no later than noon on October 20th, 2023 for consideration.

We hope you will take this opportunity to get involved and make your mark on our shared future!
