Description
"Pets shall be kept on a leash at all times within Township recreational facilities. The owner or person handling such pet within a Township recreational facility shall remove any and all fecal matter deposited by said pet while within the Township recreational facility."
There have been several instances of dog owners letting their dogs off leash while in Rexroth Park. This had led to their dogs running up to other dogs on leashes and the dogs start to fight. We have been notified that unleashed dogs have charged at people who are walking through the park and even those who are in the parking lot. The park is used by adults and children and their safety is most important.
For those who wish to let their dogs run off leash, there are parks available at other locations where this is permitted.
Everyone should feel safe while enjoying the beautiful park we have in our Township. Thank you for your cooperation.
