Flood Advisory issued October 5 at 5:46AM CDT until October 5 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Hays, Travis and Williamson.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 546 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, San Marcos, Pflugerville,
Kyle, Buda, Elgin, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Tanglewood
Forest, Austin Bergstrom Int Airport, Anderson Mill,
Windemere, Leander, Lakeway, Manor, Lago Vista, Bee Cave and
West Lake Hills.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
