Description
Please be informed that the Public Works team will be utilizing a street sweeper machine in College Heights tomorrow, October 5th, to remove loose chips. This ongoing work will generate dust in the area, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The sprayer on the machine is activated and it is trying to mitigate dust as best as possible. The work area encompasses 31st St., 32nd St., 33rd St., Highland Ave, and Groveland Ave. To minimize disruption, the work will commence after 8:30 am to ensure that students waiting for their school buses are not adversely affected.
Earlier this year, the College Heights area underwent a tar and chip application. At this juncture, all the chips that will adhere to the road have already done so. Consequently, the street sweeper is scheduled to remove any remaining loose material from the surface. This proactive measure is intended to prevent complications later in the season when snowplows could potentially push loose materials into residents' yards and drainage systems.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Should you have any thoughts or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
