Great News Spring Grove Residents!! We are reviving the Spring Grove Halloween Parade after many years since 1991.
The parade will be held on October 25th from 7-9pm with a rain date of October 29th. This will be a great family event. The parade map is enclosed showing route, road closures, vendor areas, restrooms, judges table, parking, etc. The VFW will be open to the public for dinner and Friendship Fire Company will be selling food and drink at the firehouse as a fundraiser.
Because of the size of many floats, we will need to clear the parade route of all parked vehicles from 5:30 to 10:00pm that night. If you are receiving this letter, most likely you are on the parade route but please check the map. We have parking areas marked on the map, including VFW, Middle School on Jackson, Administration Building on College, the 6.7 acres of grass between River Rock and Pine Alley, Borough Office and the lot beside the Borough Office along Old Hanover Road. Please pick the closest available lot. York County Regional Police Department (YCRPD) will be towing any vehicles left on the route.
For safety reasons, YCRPD will be closing the streets into the Borough at 6:30pm on the night of the event. Anyone arriving in town after 6:30pm will have to park in one of the outer lots and walk into the parade.
Please mark October 25th and the rain date on your calendars for this great family event!!
