Single lane restrictions under daylight flagging
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that parking restrictions are expected to be implemented this week on a resurfacing project on Broadway Street (Route 194) in Hanover Borough, York County. The work limits extend 1.76 miles from the intersection with Route 116 (York Street) and N. Railroad Street to the intersection with Eisenhower Drive and Moulstown Road.
Weather permitting, parking restrictions will be in effect during daylight hours throughout the project limits so the contractor can perform base replacement and milling. Restrictions will be in place wherever the contractor is working on any given day Wednesday, September 27, through the month of October.
There will be single lane restrictions during daylight hours with flaggers providing traffic control. There will be no lane restrictions from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM daily, and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Fridays.
There also may be short-term closures of side streets and alleys intersecting Broadway Street while the contractor works through those intersections. Motorists should take alternate routes.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This project consists of paving, base repair, guide rail and drainage replacement, and other miscellaneous construction. Work will primarily be performed during daylight hours, though milling and paving is expected to be performed next spring during the night.
JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $1,527,713 project. All work is expected to be completed by June 13, 2024.
