Description
Black Hawk military-style helicopters will be flying over the Pittsburgh are Tuesday morning from 8am - 11am as part of a planned exercise between the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire and the Pennsylvania Helicopter Aquatic Rescue team.
The exercise simulates a real-world rescue and will include the use of the rescue team helicopters in the vicinity of the Highland Park Veterans Administration property, where team members will be picked up.
These tactical training exercises are critical for furthering existing training and for preparing teams to conduct safe and efficient rescues in the event of potential future disaster situations.
Residents should not be alarmed should they see military style helicopters in the skies from 8am-11am on Tuesday, August 22.
