Special Weather Statement issued August 17 at 9:59PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 959 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 13 miles north of Grove City to near New
Wilmington. Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
New Castle, Hermitage, Oil City, Grove City, Franklin, Sugarcreek,
Slippery Rock, New Wilmington, Oakwood, New Castle Northwest, Mercer,
Pulaski, Hasson Heights, Stoneboro, Seneca, New Bedford, Harrisville,
Polk, Plain Grove Township, and Sandy Lake.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 105 and 137.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 5 and 46.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 13.
